Funny Supreme Court Opinions: Treatment vs. Rent in MOLZOF v. UNITED STATES

MOLZOF v. UNITED STATES certiorari to the united states court of appeals for the seventh circuit No. 90–838. Argued November 4, 1991—Decided January 14, 1992

Under the Government’s reading, an argument could be made that Mr. Molzof’s damages for future medical expenses would have to be reduced by the amount he saved on rent, meals, clothing, and other daily living expenses that he did not incur while . . .hospitalized.

Lesson: You save money when you are in the hospital because everybody knows landlords don't make you pay rent when you are in the hospital. Interpret.

United States Department of Labor Plans to Slow Bad Investments

Today, the Press Secretary e-mailed Stephanie's Business, Government & Law Review
a statement detailing the United States Department of Labor's plans to  stop  "Wall Street brokers and other financial advisers to benefit from backdoor payments and hidden fees if they talk responsible Americans into buying bad retirement investments—with high costs and low returns—instead of recommending quality investments."   Investing in your retirement is a task that needs studying by economists and financial advisers to ensure that investors are maximizing their benefits from a company's revenue rising, not falling.

Today’s suggestion by the Department of Labor assists people in deciding the best financial firm to manage their income and life savings. Financial advisers, stock brokers, mutual fund managers taking bribes from companies to encourage customers to support bad stocks, mutual funds and bonds is "costing working and middle class families billions of dollars every year."     Stephanie's Business, Government & Law Review is seeking a response from financial firms about the President and the United States Department of Labor's initiatives.

President Obama States Senator McCain Questioned U.S. Secretary of State Kerry's Trustworthiness

President Barack Obama made remarks to the press in Panama during the Summit of the Americas at the ATLAPA Convention Center in Panama City, Panama.  President Obama promised in aid to $70 Million to Jamaica to support  American universities campuses' in Jamaica promoting visual artists, film makers, entrepreneurs and fashion designers featured during their fashion week. There is also a need to digitize birth records and property records in Jamaica.

President Barack Obama indicated the U.S. will give $100 million to the Central American country Panama, MLB New York Yankee Mariano Rivera's birth country. Panama exports anchovies needed for Paul Newman Dressing and is where the canal permits ships to save time arriving to and from Asia.

Thursday, March 13th, 2014, Senator Mark Kirk from Illinois' (R) website revealed that Secretary of State needs to review giving $100 million dollars given to Iran.  Stephanie's Law Review suggest giving the money to U.S. universities to increase satellite campuses in Iran.

Apparently, Arizona Senator John McCain(R)doesn't trust State Secretary Kerry, according to the following statement President Obama made reporters in Panama.

"When I hear some, like Senator McCain recently, suggest that our Secretary of State, John Kerry, who served in the United States Senate, a Vietnam veteran, who’s provided exemplary service to this nation, is somehow less trustworthy in the interpretation of what’s in a political agreement than the Supreme Leader of Iran -- that’s an indication of the degree to which partisanship has crossed all boundaries.  And we’re seeing this again and again.  We saw it with the letter by the 47 senators who communicated directly to the Supreme Leader of Iran -- the person that they say can’t be trusted at all -- warning him not to trust the United States government.

We have Mitch McConnell trying to tell the world, oh, don’t have confidence in the U.S. government’s abilities to fulfill any climate change pledge that we might make.  And now we have a senator suggesting that our Secretary of State is purposely misinterpreting the deal and giving the Supreme Leader of Iran the benefit of the doubt in the interpretations.

That’s not how we’re supposed to run foreign policy, regardless of who’s President or Secretary of State.  We can have arguments, and there are legitimate arguments to be had.  I understand why people might be mistrustful of Iran.  I understand why people might oppose the deal -- although the reason is not because this is a bad deal per se, but they just don’t trust any deal with Iran, and may prefer to take a military approach to it."

Why would the Secretary of State give the Supreme Leader of Iran  "the benefit of the doubt" in negotiations?  Perhaps, Mr. Bob Schieffer will address this in today's Face the Nation

The Wire, David Simon & President Barack Obama: The War on Drugs is Violent and Sad

I, Stephanie, never used illegal drugs or abused legal prescribed drugs. Some say I'm weird, but they probably want me to join them in a drug induced coma supplied by dangerous drug dealers or the medical/pharmaceutical industry wanting to make money from altering minds, especially the ethnic minority minds. Making these drugs legal is dangerous, they alter the mind too much, more so than alcohol and food.

I can't imagine going to the local drug store and needing to wait in line behind someone picking up crack, cocaine, marijuana, meth or whatever drug addicts take to avoid the inevitable sadness that sometimes enters our lives. These drugs make people forget they need to work and they need families and they are willing to rob and steal for these items.

The Wire creator David Simon was interviewed by President Barack H. Obama about the premise of his show. I think The Wire displayed the urban decay that makes living in certain areas dangerous for law abiding citizens.

The president says "we've seen reduction in violent crime in most urban areas in America."

What will President Barack Obama about police not arresting drug dealers that clog sidewalks with profanity and dirty drug addict customers who will assault citizens for to feed addiction.

Representative John Boehner - Funding for Federal Law Enforcement Agencies

Budget.  Are the leaders scared that the government will not be able to protect citizens like Stephanie from civilian and military terrorists?  Did they forget that we need a funded police force and federal law enforcement agencies to protect us from assault and intimidation?

We pray that  senators and congressional leaders insert laws to protect women from date rape, sexual intimidation at work - which is beyond flirting, it's grabbing, sexual jokes to make people uncomfortable and insisting people engage in sexual conversations and sexual behaviors with a colleague, with a boss - someone who possesses the power to terminate people and someone who possess the power to lie about the person's work performance when the person seeks a job at another company in order to avoid sexual intimidation.

Mr. Boehner, speaking during Face the Nation today, insists that immigration should be tied to funding federal law enforcement agencies.  I think serious sexual intimidation at work should be addressed when creating budgets. It's my thought that women who make less than $100,000 a year are more susceptible to sexual intimidation at work.
